"And I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think that they'd understand..."Well, I'm very glad to report that I did indeed survive my 8 day work week. To put it bluntly, it sucked, and I was very tired by the end of my shift on Thursday. But Friday brought with it two days off, and that was very much worth the long week I had to go though to get them.
Friday I slept in, that was good shit. For the first time in well over a week I didn't have to set my alarm, nice. When I did finally wake up I had just enough time to run a whole bunch of errands, grab a bite to eat, and get ready to take off. Josh and I ended leaving for Mt. Pleasant around 5ish. Once we arrived, we got our group of eight together, piled into the cars and started making our way toward Midland. This was about the time that my car started making a horrible grinding noise whenever I hit the brakes! RAWR!
So, there are rumors floating around that I got lost along the way and ended up getting to the putt-putt golf place much later than the other car. I would prefer to neither confirm nor deny this... Anyway, we went to this pirate-themed indoor putt-putt golf (bowling alley/bar) place, it was pretty cool. I'm proud to say that my car did indeed win the epic putt-putt battle that followed. A good time was had by all, and I found my way back to Mt. Pleasant with no problems at all. Not that I had any problems getting to Midland... really. We got back, picked up some ice cream and played D&D into the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday I woke up around the crack of noon. Not long after Josh and I ran out to Dragon Express and Fazoli's to get breakfast/lunch for those who were still around the apartment. After that we pretty much hung around and took it easy. Thanks to Katie we watched the live-action Death Note movie, which was really good. We took off for home around 7ish, it was kind of a tense drive for me with my car making that horrible noise and all, but I made it home with no problems. The rest of my night was pretty much spent doing as little as possible...
...Until about 6:30am that is. I awoke to find that the power was out. I eventually found my flashlight and went outside to make sure it wasn't just my house. The whole block was dark, so I grumbled to myself and went back to bed.
Work on Sunday was interesting.... The power outage and messed up a bunch of stuff so a lot of my day was spent dealing with that. Not horrible, but not exactly my idea of a good time either.
So yeah... that was pretty much my adventure for the weekend. It was fun, but to be honest, I really wish I would have gotten a little more sleep. I've got Tuesday and Wednesday off this week, so once the dreaded Monday is over I'll have a few days to take it easy. It just kind of sucks that my car's probably gonna be in the shop for those two days. Assuming of course that it doesn't go and 'splode on me first.... Well, that about all I've got for tonight. Until next time, sweet dreams all.

Work work and more work...It seems like that's all I've been doing since I got back from vacation, mostly because everyone's taking their vacations right now. Right now, I'm actually in the middle of an eight day work week (spanning two calendar weeks), it sucks, it sucks a lot. So yeah... I checked my site today and was amazed to see that I haven't posted since 3/11! I know, I'm not doing a great job of trying to keep up with posting, sorry. It's really not intentional, work's just been kicking my ass as of late.
This is where I normally talk about what I've been up too, its gonna be sad this time. In these past two weeks since last I've posted, I've done a whopping two things worth mentioning. Two, damn I miss having a life, stupid work. Anyway, somewhere in there a bunch of us went out to see Pan's Labyrinth. It was REALLY good. If you haven't seen it, you should. Just be warned, it is all in subtitles (Spanish language). On St. Patrick's Day there was a party at Matt's house, it was fun. I saw some people I haven't seen in a while, and got some green beer (not much, I had to work the next day, RAWR).
So that was pretty much the most exciting part of the last two weeks in a nut shell. Dull, I know. But after this week everyone will be back from their vacations, so I'll have some free time once again. Damn, I can't wait. It's almost 5am, so I really should wrap this up. Until next time I post (which will be much sooner than two weeks this time, I promise) sweet dreams all.

"Isn't something missing, isn't someone missing me..."Yikes! Good lord, it's been a long time since my last post, sorry about that. Thus far vacation has big one big blur of busy. Which, for the most part, is how I like it. I've actually spent more time out of time then I have in St. Charles, it's just too bad that now I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation.
I've been so busy that an accurate account of what I've been up to seems pretty much impossible to me, especially considering how tired I am. So I think I'll jsut talk a little about the highlight of my vacation, the Flogging Molly concert!
Thursday night Josh and I went up to Mt. Pleasant so that we could get an early jump on driving to the concert the next day. Most of that night was spent finalizing plans/drivers and pretty much taking it easy for the adventure to come.
Friday we woke up, got ready, got all the cars together and steered the caravan back toward St. Charles. We picked Dippy up from school and started making our way to Detroit. It was a good drive, there was a little confusion, but eventually our party of 11 all met up at Hockey Town Cafe (a block away from the concert) for a pre-concert meal, and of course some drinks. From there we joined the huge line outside The State Theater and started to wait. It was rather cold outside, but the line moved fast and we were only out there for about a half an hour. I'd never been to The State Theater and when I walked in I very much liked what I saw, it was a very cool venue.
The first opening band wasn't the greatest, but that was ok, gave us time to socialize and hit the bar. The second band was The Stray Dogs, another Irish band, they were really good. I missed part of their set because the line at the merchandise table was so long. But we did have plenty of time to get the t-shirts we wanted, hit the bar again, and then make it back to the floor in time to catch the end of their set, and to stake out a good spot for Flogging Molly. As for Flogging Molly, they were just awesome, I really don't know how else to describe it. They played every song I wanted them to, and toward the end of there set Cherie, Ashley, Sam and I pushed up to the front so we could shake hands with them. It was a great experience.
After the concert most of us headed to Ashley's parents house in Brighton (about 45min away) to hang out and eventually crash for the night. I was very glad we didn't have to make the long drive home that same night.
So yeah... I'd say that was pretty much the highlight of my vacation. I'd been looking forward to it for months and it did not disappoint.
Well, it's getting pretty late and should probably get some rest so I don't sleep away my last day of vacation. Until next time I post (which hopefully won't be nearly two weeks again) sweet dreams all.

"Breathe out, so I can breathe you in... "Wow, it's once again been a little while since last we spoke. I'm rather sad to say that I haven't been up to a whole lot really. I guess one good thing about having a rather dull week is that I should be able to remember everything this time around. Let's see if I can...
If my rusty steel trap of a mind serves me correctly, I'm pretty sure I spent Monday-Wednesday working. And I'm also quite sure it sucked, but I guess what else is new, it's work after all.
Thursday I was off and it was very nice, mostly because it was the first day in a long time that I didn't have to set my alarm. I pretty much sat on my ass and watched movies most of the day, but around 11pm there was run out to The Texan with Josh, Ren, and Cherie for some late night eats. It was Texan food, but still fun none the less.
Friday I worked with the boss all day. It was actually a pretty good day, we got everything done no problem and I always seem to have fun when I work with Tammy. Fun aside, I was glad when the day came to an end.
Saturday I was off and was busy being a huge nerd most of the day and well into the night. Josh and I were busy working on a server machine for the MUD we used to run. That's right, there's a pretty good chance the MUD will be back up soon! Kinda scary, huh?
Sunday was once again another day at work, it sucked. First off, the weather, I had to move so much slush around it wasn't even funny. On top of that, we had problems with some equipment. Ugh, it was just a big mess.
So yeah... I think I did a pretty good job of remembering what I've been up to, I'm actually rather proud of myself. Oh, I forgot to mention: ONLY THREE DAYS UNTIL VACATION! Sorry, I'm a little excited. Mostly because with vacation comes the Flogging Molly concert on Friday. I'm so excited about the concert that I really can't put it into words. Add to that a few parties that are gonna be going on and not having to go to work for a over a week and well... I really can't wait for Thursday to get here! I know, it's gonna feel like forever and I'm ready for that, I hope.
Well, its nearly 6am and the urge to sleep is quite strong, so think I'm gonna give in to it. After all, tomorrow is Monday and you know I'm gonna need my rest for that. Sweet dreams all.

An old man just pulled the still pumping gas handle out of his van and sprayed my feet. I hate stupid people. That is all, thank you.
Untitled...Hey all, I just wanted to make a quick post to say that I did survive the east side of Detroit. Long story short, the Papa Roach concert kicked ass! They put on a really great show, as did Kill Hannah. And of course, the White Castle was yummy! I took a bunch of pictures at the concert, but none of them really turned out so great, so I'm not gonna bother to post them. The day that followed (Saturday) was full of Chinese food, zombie movies, and ice cream (pretty much in that order) needless to say, a good time indeed.
I've got a long work week ahead of me, but at least there's now less than two weeks until Flogging Molly and my vacation! Wow, this is gonna be the longest two weeks ever... Well, I should probably at least try to get some sleep for work tomorrow. Night all.

Is it the weekend yet?Well it seems time has once again flown by like a fat kid chasing an ice cream truck. It feels like I just made my last post, but the calendar says otherwise. Part of me thinks it's an international conspiracy being run by the calendar manufacturers, who's end goal is to make sure I never know what day it is. So far, it's working.
Once again, so much time has passed that asking my brain to muster an accurate re-cap of what I've been up is nearly impossible. Hmm.... yeah... there's been lots of working (RAWR!), some D&D, not nearly enough hanging out with my friends, Dippy's 18th birthday, and a trip to Denny's. Not necessarily in that order. Sorry my re-cap is so bad, it's pretty late and I'm damn tired. Besides, my brain is pretty well focused on the week ahead, I think it's gonna be quite the adventure...
Today was day 2 of the 6 (SIX! RAWR!) days in a row I have work this week. I'm just glad that there's much fun on the horizon. On Friday Josh, Cherie, and myself are going down to Detroit to see Papa Roach. They're performing at Harpo's , which is my favorite venue in Michigan. The layout of the building is just so awesome and it has three bars. It's just too bad it's in the WORST part of Detroit. But hey, at least there's a White Castle only about a block away (yummy!).
So, I'm trying to be positive and tell myself that once tomorrow (Eww! Monday!) is over the rest of my week will be all downhill from there... I'm not sure if I believe me or not, but here's hoping I know what I'm talking about. Damn, I'm a lot more tired than I thought I was, sorry all but I think I'm gonna cut this post short and call it a night. Sweet dreams all.
